Mini Volley · Kids 6–12

Real volleyball, right in your town.

Forza Volleyball brings Mini Volley to your town — kid-sized courts, real games from day one. No tryouts. Every kid plays.

What it is

Mini Volley is volleyball built for little kids — kid-sized courts, lighter balls, and real games from day one. 75 minutes, once a week, no tryouts, every kid plays.

Forza Volleyball is the club that runs it around Boston. Learn why we built it →

How a season works

  1. Your kid joins a team in your town

No tryouts, no travel, no sitting on a bench. Every kid who signs up plays.

  2. One 75-minute session a week, with a coach

Same night, same gym, all season. Long enough to learn something, short enough for a school night.

  3. Real games from the first day

Kid-sized courts and lighter balls mean rallies happen straight away — not after a term of drills.

  4. The season ends with the Festival

Every town, one big day. It is the thing the kids talk about afterwards.

Who's behind this

Real coaches. A real plan.

Nikita Selivan

Program Director

Nikita has lived volleyball for 17 years — she played at Wheaton College right here in MA, coached at Wellesley College, was a 2026 AVCA 30 under 30 recipient, and spent the last two years as a club director. What drives her is what an early start can do: she watched it shape her own path — and her little sister's, who's become one of the best players in the region — and she can't stop thinking about how much the game could grow if every kid got that same start.

She's a total health-and-fitness nut who believes every child deserves a physical outlet and a lifelong love of sport. Whether these kids play volleyball forever or not, she's happy to give them that foundation.

Scott Grandpré

Founder

Scott has coached youth volleyball for over 20 years, the last 10 of them in Boston. What he cares about most now is access — making sure any kid who wants to play volleyball has a real place to start, no matter their town or background. He sees that as one of the biggest steps the sport can take.

Mini Volley grew out of that. It's where the littlest players get their first touch on a volleyball, and hopefully where they will fall in love with the sport we all love.

FAQ

What actually happens in a session?+

75 minutes, once a week, with a coach. Kid-sized courts, lighter balls, and real games from the first day — not a term of drills before anyone gets to play. No tryouts, and every kid plays.

What does it cost?+

$205 for a full eight-session season. A town whose gym loses a date to a holiday runs seven sessions and pays $195. The fee covers coaching, gym time and a shirt.

What if we can't afford it?+

Ask. Cost should never keep a kid off the court. Tick the financial aid box when you register — we hold the spot, charge nothing that day, and get back to you.

Can I register more than one child?+

Yes. Add each child on the same form and each one gets their own roster spot. The first child pays full price and every child after that is $25 off, applied automatically at checkout.

My town isn't open yet. What do I do?+

Join the list for your town. We're working on gyms in more towns for this fall and the next one, and the list is who hears first — before anything is announced anywhere else.

What if my age group is full?+

You'll be placed on the waitlist at no charge. We'll email you if a spot opens, and nothing is charged until you accept it.

How do refunds work?+

Email nikita@bostonuvc.com. Refunds are handled by hand through the payment provider — tell us what happened and we'll sort it out.
